Fun with Habari

I've been thinking a lot about Habari themes over the past few weeks and one of the things I have given some thought to is whether it is time to start using the HTML5 tags, either the tags themselves, or as class naming conventions....

Adam Wilcox has ported the Unsleepable WordPress theme, originally by Ben Gray, over to Habari....

As I use Habari more and more and continue to fill in the cracks in this theme, I am finding more ways to use the functionality it has. The newest thing I have been playing with is the tags, or more specifically how to use tags to control options in the theme....

In my last post I wrote about the concept of desiging dual use themes, that is themes that will work across multiple platforms. I don’t mean themes that are ported to another platform, but one single theme that will work on both. That is what I am doing for my re-theme of this site, and in this post I will explain how I have gone about it....

I’ve spent the last few days writing a photoblog theme for Habari to run my future photoblog: http://www.eloquium.co.uk so I am now in a position to compare theming on WordPress to theming on Habari....
