Fun with Habari

Last week I was notified that an error was occurring when anyone tried to leave a comment here. This was news to me, I had tested comments a lot when building the theme, but I got help and an explanation from the Habari IRC group and it turns that there is a good explanation for it....

Over the past few days I've started tidying up my sites and domains to give them, for the most part, consistent branding and structure. As part of that I decided that it was worth putting my Habari blog on its own domain to give it more prominence....

As I use Habari more and more and continue to fill in the cracks in this theme, I am finding more ways to use the functionality it has. The newest thing I have been playing with is the tags, or more specifically how to use tags to control options in the theme....

I've recently become more and more interested in Habari, and the approach that Habari takes, particularly when compared to WordPress. If you have been reading my WordPress blog you will know I have written a few posts about Habari, but I felt it was important not to let Habari take over what is a WordPress blog. That is why I have set up this sub-blog....

In my last post I wrote about the concept of desiging dual use themes, that is themes that will work across multiple platforms. I don’t mean themes that are ported to another platform, but one single theme that will work on both. That is what I am doing for my re-theme of this site, and in this post I will explain how I have gone about it....
